Happy Holidays! Image: Tsar Kasim / Flickr. The end of 2012 is upon us and as long as we survive tomorrow, Eruptions will be in holiday break mode until December 29. I won't have any new posts until then unless something dramatic happens - but I will likely throw the occasional interesting link on the Eruptions twitter feed (@eruptionsblog, or look on the right hand side of this page). Feel free to use this post as an open thread for whatever seems volcanically interesting. Be sure to cast your ballot for the 2012 Pliny for Volcanic Event of the Year. I've got a lot of good nominations, but I want to get as many nominations as possible from everyone ... so make your voice heard! You can look forward to the announcement of the winner and the 2012 Volcanic Year in Review after I get back. Enjoy the holidays!
