The Election: What Will Be The Consequences for Science?

It's an open question--if Republicans take back the House, or the House and Senate, how will that affect President Obama's ability to implement his pledge to "restore science to its rightful place" in our government? Just how anti-science is the Tea Party, and how will that make itself felt once governance begins? I have my ideas, but I want to hear others' views. Discuss.
