Georgia is having a drought. Things are bad. So what do people do when they feel helpless and cannot do anything? They pray. So the governor has organized a prayer service to pray for rain. I'm sure this will work. Oh wait: no it won't. I bet that a month from now they'll get rain, and they'll say, "See? We did it!" So there ya go, Georgians, your tax dollars at work wasted. Still, I cannot leave this without pointing out one part of the article:

[The governor's spokeswoman Heather] Teilhet said the governor's office has invited spiritual leaders from several faiths and dominations to participate in the service.

Emphasis mine, but c'mon, a little help from the leather community probably wouldn't hurt either.
