Both Hillary Clinton and Barrack Obama have made statements recently saying that vaccines should be investigated as a possible cause of autism. Problem is, that claim has been investigated, very thoroughly, and it's a crock. There is no link whatsoever between the two. If you've been following this antivax antiscience nonsense at all, then you won't be surprised to hear that Tara and Orac have something to say about this. And I agree with both of them that while what Obama and Clinton said aren't nearly as bad as the garbage spouted by McCain, it's a bad sign and a downward trend in a campaign that seems to have no end to downwardness.
