The Royal Greenwich Observatory in England is looking for the world's best astrophotographer, and they've started up their competition to find that person. There are cash prizes involved, too. I'll note last year's winner of the Deep Space category was Rogelio Bernal Andreo for his shot of Orion's belt. If his name is familiar, it's because he took the absolutely jaw-dropping shot of Orion I picked as my #1 shot for the Top 14 Astronomy Pictures of 2010! I suspect a lot of readers have some amazing pictures they've taken of the sky. Submit 'em! The deadline is noon (BST) on July 13.
