[NOTE: This is the same talk I posted about last week, but had to cancel due to a sore throat. It's been rescheduled for tomorrow, so I'm reposting with the new info.]
On Tuesday, April 26 (tomorrow!) I'll be giving a talk at the University of Colorado campus for the Secular Students and Skeptics Society. The title is "The Final Epsilon", and it's my own ruminations on the nature of dealing with certainty versus doubt. Basically, as a scientist and an active skeptic I have to leave some room for doubt on any convictions I have, but living my everyday life as a human being, perhaps not so much. The talk will be Room 252 in the Hellems Arts and Sciences Building at 7:00 p.m. I went to a Drinking Skeptically night in Boulder (a regular get-together for skeptics) where many of the folks from SSaSS were there. I imagine they'd be happy if some other Boulder folks came out and said hi. They're a young organization, and could use some local support. I hope to see some of you there!
