FAIL The First:Empire Magazine tried to recreate the iconic Shatner/Nimoy picture from the 1960s using the new actors from the upcoming Trek movie. The results? Meh.

I have some experience with photography, but how much does it take to do things like get the angle and lighting right? The new shot is plastic looking and two-dimensional. I have been harboring deeply-hidden pessimistic thoughts about the new Trek movie, and this picture brings them to the surface. The movie better be good. Unlike that picture.

FAIL the Second:io9 reports that Doctor Who fans tend to support McCain over Obama. What can I say there? Oh yeah: FAIL. I mean, c'mon, that must be wrong. McCain would have regenerated by now.
