Well, I have just finished packing, and am ready to get up early in the morning and begin my travels to China. I'm headed via Chicago and Hong Kong and will get there on Sunday evening, which will be Sunday morning back here. As I've mentioned already, for the first week there, I'll be lecturing at a summer school on cosmology at Zhejiang University, in Hangzhou, near Shanghai. In the second week I will be in Beijing, speaking at a Symposium on Particle Physics, Astrophysics and Cosmology. I'm looking forward to the trip, to seeing part of China, to meeting the students during the first week, and the Chinese researchers during both weeks. Also, during the second week, my friend Teri Weaver is going to visit me. As Orange Quark readers know, Teri is a reporter, based in Seoul, for the military newspaper, Stars and Stripes. Teri recently returned from two months in Iraq and I'm looking to seeing her after so long and to hearing about her adventures. Anyway, time to get some sleep. I hope to blog from China and I'm taking the camera, so maybe I'll have some photos too.
