Obama nominates Bolden to head NASA

President Obama has chosen Charles Bolden to head NASA, pending Senate approval and hopes he’s the right guy for the job.

After all the rumors, then a denial of the rumors, it looks like at least some of the rumors were true: President Obama has picked ex-astronaut Charles Bolden to head NASA. I've already written about this, so there isn't much more to say, except that this isn't a done deal yet; the Senate has to approve of the choice. Given Bolden's record, I don't see anything obvious in his way unless 1) the Senate wants to play politics and/or b) Bolden hasn't paid his taxes. I hope this works out, because he seems like the right guy for the job. I'll post more news as I hear it.
