Are you skeptical and looking for something to do in New York City on Saturday, September 12th? The Northeast Conference on Science and Skepticism will be going on then, and it looks to be pretty cool. It's being held by the NYC Skeptics and the New England Skeptics Society/Skeptics' Guide to the Universe, and boasts speakers such as my fellow Hive Overmind blogger Carl Zimmer, Jamy Swiss, Paul Offit, Rachael Dunlop, George Hrab, and about a dozen others. You can see the whole speaker list here. I wish I could go, but I suspect I'll still be sleeping off Dragon*Con at that point. But it looks to be a lot of fun, so if you're in the area, check it out.
