Dienekes P. is often rather laconic in commentary on the papers he links to, but of late he has "come out of his shell." He has two posts which are important "weekend reading": - Population strata in the West Siberian plain (Baraba forest steppe) - Hints of East/Central Asian admixture in Northern Europe I freely admit that much of the conjecture here is above my pay-grade in terms of evaluation. But I do think it's important think through. My "gut" tends to lean toward a "revenge of the Mesolithic" scenario promoted by some of Dienekes' critics, but I don't have a strong position.
