An Awkward Climate Mixer

I've been a bit tortured over this climate endeavor. On the one hand, it involves some really smart people who are bringing the insights of evolutionary biology and social science into the climate change discussion. I've found this immensely helpful in my own thinking about the sociopolitical dynamics of the climate debate. But on the other hand, I've been discomfited by the framework for the Climate, Mind, and Behavior Project, or rather the way it mixes activists with researchers at its annual symposium. Despite my misgivings, I've enjoyed the two events I've attended and walked away with favorable impressions of numerous speakers. I guess I just prefer stricter boundaries at such affairs. Anyway, I try to sort through my ambivalence at the Yale Forum on Climate Change & the Media.
