Hooray! Kansas had statewide elections today for various seats, including Board of Education ones (note that it was the BoE that promoted creationism in schools). Many of the races for those seats had creationists running. But Red State Rabble reports that rationality -- barely -- has won out. Moderates who support the teaching of evolution (and keeping Intelligent Design out) have won the day, though it was not a sweep. Keep checking RSR for more updates. He's on top of all this.
