My friend, the singer and nerd girl Marian Call is in LA right now crooning at various venues about love, Volvos, Firefly, and Battlestar Galactica. Yeah, you read that right: she has geek songs. And she needs you! As she said herself:

She even has a nerd album coming out, and I will be ordering it as soon as I can. The last time I blogged about her, she got a lot of new fans; of course music is a matter of taste, and some of you will like her, some won't. I'm not gonna twist your arm. But listen carefully to some of her songs and you'll find she's quirky, intelligent, and has a voice that hearkens back to the 1940s. Sigh. She's totally awesome. She'll also be at Creation Con in a couple of weeks. Oh, I wish I could go! We've never met IRL... but she said that in 2009 she might be headed this way again. So Marian, if you're reading this -- and I know y'are, Red -- you'll get warm cookies from Mrs. BA and lots of adoration from me and The Little Astronomer.
