M-O-O-N, that spells workshop

One of the (many) reasons Boulder, Colorado is so cool is that there are a great number of astronomy research facilities here which in turn means it's a haven for scientific workshops on various topics. This week, the "Workshop on Ices, Oceans, and Fire: Satellites of the Outer Solar System" is being held, and many luminaries of the field are here. One thing they're discussing is a NASA flagship (read: big, complicated, and very cool) mission to an outer satellite. Enceladus? Maybe. The wonderful Emily Lakdawalla of the Planetary Society Blog is covering the meeting this week, and I'm not linking to her just because we went out to dinner last night, had a fun time, and then she helped me crash the workshop reception (where I got to chat with a couple of friends, too). Actually, I'm linking because she's good writer and will no doubt have lots of insight into what should be a cool meeting.
