Everyone's been posting this, and I'm nothing if not a slavish follower of the pack. So here is The Daily Show eviscerating the crank Walter Wagner, the guy who scared lots of people last year falsely claiming the Large Hadron Collider would create a black hole and destroy the Earth. If you thought this guy was anything but a grade A goofball before, watch what he says from 2:30 - 3:30 into the video. He would fail 6th grade math.
Sometimes, when I see the media falling all over themselves to give obvious crackpots like Walter Wagner credibility, I do think the Earth is doomed. And I'm also very glad for The Daily Show, the only media outlet that calls 'em like they truly are. If CNN, MSNBC, or any of the other MSM had half the brains of TDS, the world would be far better informed.
