On the BBC Radio 4 programme "In Our Time" this week, they discussed prime numbers, in quite some detail. It was (the bits I heard at least as I ran in and out of my office) quite a good programme; they talked about zeta-functions, and the Riemann hypothesis in terms that were intended for a general radio audience, listening at prime time. The "they" involved were guests Marcus du Sautoy (Wadham, Oxford), Robin Wilson (Open), and Jackie Stedall (Queen's, Oxford), and host Melvin Bragg. You can get the programme in various downloadable forms here. Enjoy! -cvj
