Eruptions Spring Break

I will be leaving tomorrow for our Geosciences spring break field trip to the American west. Thirteen students and 2 faculty (of which I am one) will be trekking across Nevada through the Arrow Canyon Range and then up Owens Valley in California. Volcanically speaking, it will be an exciting trip, with stops at the cinder cones at Fossil Falls, a tour of the Coso Geothermal Field on the USN China Lake Test Range, the Bishop Tuff/Long Valley Caldera, the Mono-Inyo Craters and Ubehebe Crater in northern Death Valley. We are camping the whole time, sometimes in very remote locations, so I won't be able to post any live updates next week on the blog. However, I might be able to post a few images via Twitter, so check out my feed (@eruptionsblog - or look to the right of this screen for the Twitter box). I will have a few reposts of classic Eruptions articles (well, at least classic where I come from) next week, but likely there will not be any new posts until March 19. See you after break!
